Content Processing System |
|
|
Content Processing System (CPS) is designed to increase productivity of content operations. it provides seamless flow of information and content giving the benefits of real-time content updating. It provides seamless flow of information and content giving the benefits of real-time content updating. |
|
| CPS intends to simplify content operations by doing the following things: |
|
-
Manage different content types i.e. images, audio, video, games etc.
-
Manage different services by providing enough metadata to support things like WAP radio, multicasting, television, news etc.
- Reduce cost of the service providers and optimize revenues of content providers by introducing WEB 2.0 concept. This is primarily done by introducing independence in the biz flow and the content operations of the two.
|
Our Proposed Content management Solutions: |
|
| Managing Customer Specifications |
| |
CPS handles specification management. You just need to know the input formats required. This would reduce the lag time in introducing a new customer. In general if an operator does not need to look at the specification sheet then his performance may go up by 50% at-least. |
| |
| Automation of handling external Content |
| |
The USP of CPS is that it provides an interface between any two entities involved in the handling of external content. The interface substantially reduces the content handling time, be it incoming, processing or export. |
This would reduce the external content management from processing team work hours’ context by up to 90%. |
| |
| Seamless transcoding work |
|
| |
CPS would increase the productivity by 7 times in case of image and 5 times in case of audio and video management w.r.t. transcoding |
| |
Managing Bandwidth misalignment |
| |
CPS would bring in enough focus at bandwidth optimization and would get the upload of the content to 5 times |
| |
| QA for Content |
| |
| QA will make sure the content released by producer is received satisfactorily by the top 25 handsets available in the market on a monthly basis. This will be done by actually testing the content type on the Handsets. |
| |
Some Upfront gains offered. |
| |
|
|
- There will be greater scope of estimating the work
- The content acquisition, which is hidden, will be eliminated now.
- The time taken for purposing the content will be saved.
- We would save approx 1.5-2(average) man hrs and 2-3(average) lag time per image processing.
- With the new estimate of 1000 images a month. We would save approx 1750* man hours and 2500** lag time hours in all.
|
|
|
*1000x((1.5+2.0)/2= 1750 man hrs
**1000x(2+3)/2=2500 lag time hrs |
| |
Proposed Workflow |
| |
Some parts of the work flow which CPS suggests can be automated are as below: |
- Producers, Studios and content providers can upload the content to CPS.
- CPS would process the content
- The content operator would be able to download a single package containing all the content pieces.

Roadmap |
| |
Content Processing System (CPS) is designed to reduce the cost of content operations. In conjunction with our service delivery platform, it also provides seamless flow of information and content giving the benefits of real-time content updating. |
| |
| CPS intends to simplify content operations by doing the following things: |
| |
- Manage different content types i.e. images, audio, video, games etc. This would be in tune of getting the content operation part out of delivery platforms preview.

- Reduce cost of the service providers and optimize revenues of content providers by introducing WEB 2.0 concept. This is primarily done by introducing independence in the biz flow and the content operations of the two.
